Job Role: Architect

About: Sophie joined the DLA FreemanWhite healthcare architecture team bringing a wealth of experience from a variety of sectors. Previously, she had been involved in the challenging Bridgwater Place Wind Amelioration Scheme in Leeds which gave her the opportunity to develop her Revit skills to produce the complex model and highly detailed planning drawings for the successful application.

One of Sophie’s schemes was the complex four phased scheme for the refurbishment and reconfiguration of the Emergency Department at Bradford Royal Infirmary. The biggest challenge was to keep the department operational 24/7, which was successfully achieved with Sophie’s skills as a project architect utilised from the early stages of design development, through to successful planning application and the delivery of the project on time and on budget without disruption to the delivery of the emergency services.

Sophie is currently working closely on a number of schemes for clients within the public and private healthcare sector.
